You've probably noticed the NCTMB logo at the bottom of every page, or that I sign my name "Jim Caddell, LMT, NCTMB." This alphabet soup stands for Licensed Massage Therapist, Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. The NCTMB certificate is awarded by the NCBTMB, the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

The NCBTMB website says:

The NCBTMB credential is the mark of a dedicated and accomplished professional.... National certification:

• Represents the highest credential in the field
• Communicates a commitment to safe, ethical practice
• Allows reimbursement by some insurance companies
• Establishes practitioners as healthcare providers on par with other professionals requiring certification

To me, the certificate represents a serious commitment to my clients' safety, health, and well being.  I'm proud of the achievement, but it's really all about you.
